One of Europe's most celebrated actors, Carice van Houten is perhaps best known as Melisandre in the cult TV series Game of Thrones, a performance that has received the Emmy Award nomination in 2019. The other projects she has been involved in are Paul Verhoeven's Valkyrie, a film by Bryan Singer opposite Tom Cruise along with Melisandre from Game of Thrones.
